2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Overview (Non AMG).

Times are changing. Your automotive requirements today are likely not the same as a few years ago. Performance and speed requires now the sophistication and safety. Satisfaction of acquiring a dream car now requires a long lasting enjoyment. Well, 2010 Mercedes-Benz C-Class may be - the answer.

    Powertrain:
    Vigorous but efficient, gives you a choice of V-6 engines: 3.0 liter with 228 Horsepower for C300 models and 3.5 liter with 268 Horsepower for C350 models. 3.5 liter engine will deliver smoother, torque-rich response across a wide range of RPM, but for the most part 3.0 liter engine will be sufficient.

    Drivetrain:
    All models have time-proven Rear-Wheel Drive design. Some C300 models offer the all-season 4Matic All Wheel Drive for people who live in the areas of a bad climate conditions, but others should stick to a Rear Wheel Drive as it has a little better performance and you will save a little bit of money on gas and car insurance.

    Agility control:
    Mercedes-Benz says that it can study and outsmart the road. Agility control suspension reads the road surface and adapts to it. The available new Dynamic Handling Package puts its grip within your grasp with a driver adjustable damping.

    Transmission:
    7-Speed automatic transmission takes notes on your driving style and adopts it’s shifting to you personally. Or you can use your own hands with a short throw 6-Speed Manual in the C300 Sport.

    C-Class Sport models:
    Although all Mercedes-Benz C-Class models share the same body, C-Class Sport models look distinctly sportier. Wide, slotted grille with Three-Pointed Star inside, sporty looking lower body work, deep front air dam sweeps past staggered-width 17” alloy wheels into a rear apron, pierced by the polished chrome tips of a sound optimized exhaust. Mercedes-Benz C Class Sport models tires are wider at the rear for a better road-grip and narrower upfront for more precise steering – improving handling to be more accurate. However it comes at the cost of the inability to rotate tires from front to back during maintenance, thus increasing times for tires to be replaced. C350 Sport adds a lip spoiler to complete wind – tunnel-honed shape and perforated front discs. And it’s not only look. Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sport models have lowered suspension for a sharp reflexes and cornering. Although some of you may find it to be too granular of a ride, then you have to go with a softer ride of a C-Class Luxury. The optional Dynamic Handling Package adds 18" AMG wheels, two faster steering paddle shifters and a Sport mode that firms up the suspension, throttle response and gearshifts with one button.

    Interior:
    Driver seat has standard 8-way power sport seat, rubber studded aluminum pedals and multi-adjustable, multifunctional steering wheel trimmed in soft Premium leather. Easy to reach shifter and the central controller are at your hands.

    Safety:
    Standard 11-way air bag protection, a new driver’s knee airbag, rigid and legendary Mercedes-Benz body structure, as well as improved tire pressure monitoring system makes C-Class to stand far ahead of the competition by the safety standards.

    Toys:
    From the Bluetooth interface to a hard drive based navigation system with digital music storage, C-Class has lots of bells and whistles, although some of them can come with a steep price to pay.

    C-Class Luxury models:
    Mercedes-Benz Luxury models are stylishly presented with a legendary Three-Pointed Star atop of the cars hood to accent the timeless beauty of the Mercedes-Benz assemble. Luxury sedans are exclusively calibrated for a smooth refinement and comfortable ride, while sharing the same powertrain and drivetrain with the C-Class Sport counterpart. They add a dual zone climate control, optional full glass Panorama sunroof and polished Burl Walnut Wood trim to satisfy the most demanding drivers.
