2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class changes and updates.
(July 23rd, 2010 by BenzOnly - Exclusive Editorial Review)
2011 Mercedes-Benz E-Class is released! E Class now consists of Sedans, Coupes, Station Wagons and Convertibles. It continues to dominate the overall Mercedes-Benz sales, and it remains to be the automotive standard of quality, safety, design and technology. The biggest news this year is the planned introduction of the E350 BlueTEC Diesel in late summer, but there are some notable updates for the rest of the Class.
E-Class Sedans:
Basically, all Mercedes-Benz Sedan models starting with the letter "E" share the same body and all the dimensions.
"E" stands for: “Mid-Size”. Arguably, Mercedes-Benz mid-size standards are generally larger than the same standards of many other auto brands. The number, that follows
"E", represents the size of the engine. 350 represents 3.5 liter V6 engine. 550 represents 5.5 liter V8 engine and 63 AMG represents the high performance 6.3 liter V8 engine, which is hand-assembled and tested by a single AMG technician.
2011 E-Class Sedan updates:
New Driver Assistance Package introduces the new Active Blind Spot Assist and Active Lane Keeping Assist. These active systems work together with the ESP (Electronic Stability Program) system to
"steer" the vehicle accordingly away from potential danger via selected braking of the rear wheels (!) The E63 AMG continues with the passive systems from 2010.
E-Class Wheel Package now features 18" AMG twin 5-spoke alloy wheels. This package is optional on E350's, but standard for E550's and not available on E350 BlueTec or E63 AMG models. 2011 E63 AMG will have an Alcantara headliner and an MB-Tex top-stitched wrapped dashboard as standard equipment.
2010 E-Class Sedan's unpopular Jade Green metallic paint is no longer available in 2011. It will be replaced with the good-looking Diamond White metallic paint, which will be available starting with October production. Other updates include the restyled and simpler headlight control switch and the relocation of ESP control.

2011 E-Class Coupes:
The 2011 E-Class Coupe continues to build on the momentum that began with its launch one year ago and remains virtually unchanged. The two biggest improvements for this year include new 18" AMG twin 5-spoke wheels, which are available in the Appearance Package. And the Appearance Package can now be ordered in combination with the Wood Trim Package.

the timely replacement of the discontinued CLK Class, and it is the 1st E-Class Convertible vehicle since 1995. It follows the coupe's logic in regards to power train, option packaging and wheel offerings. Notable highlights of the

Bottom Line:
E-Class is the "bread and butter" of the Mercedes-Benz business. Besides being the best-seller, this car possesses the top-grade innovations for safety, comfort, performance and remarkable future resale value. If you try to buy
any E-Class vehicle of any model year production, and the car is still in excellent condition - you'll end up paying all the money for it. BenzOnly.com suggests that it's actually worth it.
